Let's Mediate in 2022!

Happy 2022!

We are so excited to start this year with another Inns dinner meeting on February 7, 2022 at Hoyt Sherman Place, in Des Moines. This month, we continue to build on our discussion of mediation - who it impacts, the obstacles impacting mediation - and this month, "Adding Marketplace Value to Mediation."

Our guest speaker/moderator is Rob Evans. Rob will share his insights on the hows and whys someone becomes a mediator, address the practicalities and realities of earning a living, promoting your services, reasonable expectations, and expectations of potential clients. What does mediation mean in the marketplace? Do you fit in to the current market, and how do mediators increase their presence in, and access to, legal and non-legal markets? Come ready to offer your thoughts and questions.

Dinners are included with your paid membership. Guest tickets are available for $35/person. There will be 1 hr. CLE credit. You can sign up for membership or tickets on our website at www.innsofmediation.org.

Also, in case you missed it, because of the continuation of the pandemic, if you sign up now, your membership is good until August 1, 2023 - so you get one year of membership for Free! The Inns of Mediation is looking for ideas for in-person, virtual, and on-line content, so if you are looking to get involved, or get your name out there, as a mediator, a speaker, or just networking... we would love to hear from you.

Our Featured Speaker: Rob Evans is a partner in the Miller, Zimmerman & Evans law firm. His practice areas include divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, alimony, guardianships, mediation, and collaborative law. Rob focuses on dispute resolution outside of court through negotiation and offers collaborative divorce services as an option for his clients. Rob’s knowledge of the law, keen negotiation skills, and straight forward approach makes him one of Des Moines’s most sought after family law mediators.
